    1.5 hp pump

This pump works like a genie! Heavy as lead, and much bigger than the previous pump, by all accounts it seems to be of a more robust construction as well.

    1.5HP submersible pump

Posted by Greg on 9th Nov 2016

Website was easy to navigate and gave great info on how to determine pump size and needs. Staff was very informative on how to read pump charts and pump selection as well. I had previously purchased a cheap pump on Ebay that tested poorly upon arrival. Using a 55 gal drum, it would only produce about 3.5GPM.... far below the advertised 22GPM at 300'. So, I went searching for another pump but did not want to spend $1000 or more.... and I came across Tuhorse... for just about $400, I got the exact pump I needed... rated for the exact depth and pressure my previous pump was set at (190' total depth. water level at 145' plus 20' drawdown in 8" casing with 30-50psi tank... so this was the exact pump for me. And guess what, I performed the same test on this pump as I did the cheap ebay counterpart... and the Tuhorse pumped exactly as advertised... at 27GPM in a 55 gal drum... so she will easily produce 18gpm when lowered. I dropped her back down using my 190' of 1.5" galvanized pipe (did the work myself using a 26' tall platform and my 12,000 winch off my truck with snatch blocks)... not an EASY project, but not a nightmare either for those with basic mechanic/plumbing skills... She has been down in the hole for a couple of months now and not a single issue.. with higher pressure and less issues than the Franklin/Grundfos pump which had gone out, causing the need for a new pump. PS: the control box was top notch.. not the cheap China cr@p with single capacitor on the cheap ebay stuff... Thanx a ton Tuhorse...

    Excellent product

The 1.5 HP pump that I purchased is running w/o any problems since April 2013. The price is much better now but even for what I paid for it, it was well worth it. Good quality product, it handles our irrigation well. We have a 6 zone irrigation system with many rotors and sprayers. I'm still very happy with my purchase. Thank you Tuhorse!

    Works

Shipping in timely manner. The control box may be one of the best I have ever seen. Tuhorse staff -- We appreciate your comment about the control box. Most of the other brands’ 1.5HP and all 1HP and smaller pumps use single capacitor control boxes. All Tuhorse TH4 and TH3 series pumps use dual capacitor control boxes to ensure reliable starting. This is important for those who use a power generator, power converter and under sized power cable (not recommended) to operate the pumps.

    Great pump so far

Posted by Andras on 15th May 2013

The pump came within a week of placing my order here in Florida, feels like good quality product and works excellent so far. I like the fact that it consumes much less electricity than my 15 yr old pump, hopefully it will last me the same or more. The price is great and customer service excellent.

    Quality Product Delivered Fast

I reviewed the website info on calculating what type of pump to buy and this was the one I came up with. It had the same rating as pump being replaced except it uses half the amp usage. (less power consumption than old pump) I replaced my wells 275' 1.5" gal pipe with 1" 200 psi black poly one piece piping and installed the pump myself, without the use of a well company rig. The control box was easy to install, I just wired it per instructions, noting the wire colors and position of the old control box I was replacing. The entire assembly and installation were easier than expected. The instructions were easy to follow. I had two questions, I called company for assistance on each and actually spoke to a person that kindly and professionally answered my question and satisfied my installation assistance needs. When installed and turned on, I had the pump head open and WOW Water in 1 minute appears from an empty pipe 281' long at the rate of 10 gallons per minute. This pump is so quiet, that the only way I can tell it is on when water is not turned on; is to listen for a slight hum coming from the control box. I am more than pleased with this pump motor and assembly. As for electrical use savings, I checked the meter and this pump cycles twice as fast as the old one, using one half the KWH electricity at a lower amperage rate. The old pump cycled longer maybe because it was worn, if so, I fell this pump will continue to operate at half the amperage until it wears out. Been operating perfect now for 2 weeks. I will certainly buy Tuhorse products again and I have been referring it to my friends, neighbors and associates that also have private water wells here in the U.S. Arizona southern desert.
